South Effingham volleyball team keeps on winning

South Effingham’s volleyball squad has had a lot of success recently, winning nine consecutive matches.

Most recently, the Lady Mustangs (10-1) defeated Effingham County 24-26, 25-9, 25-12 and Jenkins 25-11, 25-21 at ECHS on Thursday.

In the win over the Lady Rebels, Missy Ray led the way with seven kills. Olivia Meeks had six; Alyssa Cave with five and Tiffany Dean had four.

Crissy Ray and Brittany Davis each had seven digs in the win. Crissy Ray also contributed three aces as did Meeks. Missy Ray led the team in aces with five.

In the win against Jenkins, Meeks led the Lady Mustangs with four kills, while Cave and Crissy Ray each had three.
Crissy Ray also did a terrific job on defense, recording five digs. Davis recorded three.

On Tuesday, the Lady Mustangs defeated Toombs County (25-17, 25-20) and Coffee (25-11, 25-22).
