Baseball Travel Team Tryouts
The 2008-09 9-U kid pitch Bandits baseball team will be holding tryouts for players in the Coastal Georgia area June 28 at 10 a.m. in Rincon. Players must be 9 years old as of May 1, 2009. Bandits baseball is an established travel baseball team and winner of the 2008 Peach State Diamond Sports Championship Point series. Baseball/Softball Camp
A baseball and softball skills camp will be held June 30-July 3 from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. each day. The camp is for boys and girls ages 7-13. Campers will learn and practice skills in throwing, fielding, hitting and sliding and also will play some scrimmage games. Campers will need to bring a bat, helmet, glove, cleats, sack lunch and a drink each day. The cost of the camp is $55. Mini Mustang Cheer Camp
The SEHS cheerleaders are hosting their Mini Mustang Cheer Camp July 22-25 from 8:30 a.m.-noon. It is for girls, grades kindergarten through seventh. Cost is $60. Registration deadline is June 15 in order to receive a T-shirt. Late registration is $70 at the door. Registration forms can be picked up at the school. The Effingham County High School competition cheerleaders will host the Little Rebel Cheer Camp for children entering kindergarten through rising 8th graders. The camp will be held July 21-25, 9 a.m.-noon in the ECHS gym. Cost for the camp is $85 and includes a T-shirt. Registration will be held July 21 from 8:30-9 a.m., and applications are also available at ECHS or from any ECHS competition cheerleader.
