Effingham County residents Will Kirksey, Margaret DeMine and Patsy Williams each won the bronze medal in bowling for their respective divisions at the Georgia Games earlier this month.

More than 500 bowlers competed July 14-15 at The Brunswick Zone in Norcross.

Kirksey bowled 203 to finish third in Division 6 for youth males. DeMine bowled 126 to finish third in Division 13 for senior females. Williams bowled 142 to finish third in Division 14 for senior females.

All three bowlers are eligible to compete in the 2008 State Games of America in Colorado Springs, Col., Aug.2-5.
