GUYTON -- South Effingham exorcised some girls soccer demons this year but Warner Robins was not among them.

The Lady Mustangs, who broke lengthy winless spells against Effingham County and Statesboro during the regular season, lost to the  Lady Demons of Warner Robins 3-1 on Wednesday to fall out of the Class AAAAA playoffs in the second round. Warner Robins  ended South Effingham's season in the opening round last year.

Ella Higdon tallied South Effingham's lone goal on a second-half penalty kick.
