Effingham College & Career Academy students, fresh off getting the northern white shrimp named Georgia’s official state crustacean, are now seeking approval for a specialty license plate honoring the species. Designed by a recent graduate and now on display at the Savannah airport, the plate is part of an ongoing civic and creative campaign sparked in a high school zoology class.
