Carla Roberson, 35, the suspect in the Dec. 20, 2024, six-vehicle accident on Hwy. 21 in Rincon was denied bond Feb. 10, by Superior Court Judge Ronald Thompson.

According to court documents, bond was denied because the defendant “poses a significant risk of fleeing from the jurisdiction of the court;” and “poses a significant threat or danger to persons, the community, or to property in the community.”

Roberson’s attorney denies all allegations.

Roberson was arrested by Rincon PD officers Dec. 20 after she allegedly caused a six-vehicle accident that shut down Hwy. 21 in both directions at Brentwood Drive.

Roberson will remain at the Effingham County Jail.
