Arrests/Citations

Matthew John Skomsky, Stonesthrow Court – theft by taking, criminal damage to property.

Maurice Fausto Gaete, Ebenezer Road – expired registration, no insurance, wanted person for “failure to appear.”

Conner Perry Edwards, John Exley Lane – DUI (under 21), open alcohol containers in vehicle.

Christopher Scott Quick, I-16/mile marker 148 – DUI, speeding in excess of posted speed limit (106 mph in 70 mph zone).

Reina Merida Lopez, Hwy. 21/Old Augusta Road – driving while unlicensed, failure to stop at stop sign.

Leon Webster Quilloin, Laurel Street – driving while license suspended, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana.

Jessica Laine Warren, McCall Road/Little McCall Road – DUI, failure to maintain lane.

 

Incidents

Blue Jay Road – Deputies responded to an alarm activation at Little Caesar’s Pizza. Deputies investigated and were unsuccessful finding anyone inside the building.

Cook Street – a woman reported that another woman was sending her threatening photos and texts and was threatening to ruin her business.

Hwy. 119 N – a man called to report that he caught his neighbor’s dog injuring one of his chickens. Deputies issued a warning to the dog’s owner.

McCall Road – a woman reported that she and her boyfriend had a verbal fight that turned physical. By the time deputies arrived the boyfriend had left to stay in a local hotel.

Courthouse Road – a woman reported that a check she had sent to an appraiser in Richmond Hill never arrived. An unknown person had cashed the check. The woman reported the incident to her bank and closed the account.

Low Ground Road – a man reported that he agreed to loan an employee a car to help him get to work; however, the employee had not made the agreed-upon payment of $100/week for the past three months.

Possum Trail – deputy responded to an ongoing complaint of dogs running loose. After many attempts, the owner of the dogs was cited for allowing dogs/puppies to run loose. The owner was advised that the county animal shelter offers no-cost spay and neuter services.

Elkins Cemetery Road – a woman reported that a man who came over to her house to pick up tires he purchased from her may have stolen her dog – a red-orange pit bull/terrier named Riley.

Candleberry Way – a woman reported that her son and his girlfriend had a breakup and she observed the girlfriend’s car on their street and garbage was being thrown from the car into the woman’s yard.

Blackwater Way – a woman reported that she and her boyfriend had an argument. She told deputies that he kicked her car several times leaving dents in the body; and she had run over his motorcycle causing damage to it. The boyfriend left the scene before deputies arrived. They were unsuccessful making contact with the boyfriend.

Hwy. 30/Chatham County line – Deputies responded to a call of a missing person with a two-year-old child. The child was located in Ellabell. Neighbors told deputies the woman was at an address on Noel C. Conaway Road “a week ago” and was last seen walking toward Chatham County.

Murray Hill Road – a woman reported that a bulldozer at C & B Sand Plant was found with its engine running, but no one was operating it. Deputies investigated and determined the bulldozer hadn’t been moved from its location.

Ellis Drive – Deputies responded to a call of a disorderly person.
