GUYTON — Undone by a rash of errors, South Effingham’s football team slipped to 0-9 with a 35-3 loss at Ware County in Waycross on Friday.
The Mustangs committed five turnovers, including three interceptions.
"We made some critical mistakes and Ware County made us pay for it," Mustangs coach Revell said. "The players continue to play hard. We made some critical mistakes early on. We drove down and had a field goal attempt and they blocked it, which gave them some momentum.
“They took care of business for the rest of the night."
The Mustangs have just one more shot to avoid a winless season. They will take on Statesboro on the road this Friday.
