Chief of Operations Bryce Nyberg (right) was recently promoted to deputy chief of Effingham County Fire & Rescue by Chief Clint Hodges (left). Nyberg has proven his dedication to the department and the community. He began serving Effingham County in 1991 as a volunteer firefighter out of the South Effingham Volunteer Fire Department, which is the current ECFR Station 8.
