The public is invited to the “State of the City” presentation by Rincon Mayor Kevin Exley, Thursday, April 3 at the Herald Center, 1204 N. Columbia Ave., Rincon, at 7 p.m.

In his presentation, Mayor Exley is expected to highlight the city’s financial stability, key ongoing projects, and the city’s future plans.

This is an opportunity to connect with city leaders and gain insight into the city’s past achievements and, more importantly, Rincon’s future direction.

The evening will include a reception and hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m.

Rincon City Council Approves First Pay Raise in 14 Years

Rincon City Council voted unanimously Monday to approve its first pay raise in 14 years, increasing council members’ pay to $750 per month and the mayor’s pay to $950 per month starting next year. The raises will apply to those elected in November, when three council seats and the mayor’s office will be on the ballot.
