GUYTON, Ga. – Kailyn Chapman scored 16 points to lead 10 South Effingham scorers in a 66-26 win over visiting Effingham County on Saturday afternoon.

The Mustangs (9-1) won their eighth straight game.

Jordynn Lee paced ECHS (0-6) with eight points.

Boys: ECHS 43, SEHS 37

GUYTON, Ga. – Ernest Bartley scored five of his team-high 11 points during a key second-half run to lead Effingham County past host South Effingham 43-37 on Saturday night.

The Rebels (3-4) broke open a tight game with a 14-1 spurt during the third and fourth quarters to build a 41-24 lead. Isaiah Scruggs, who finished with 10 points, also scored five during the run.

South (3-6) rallied but couldn’t get closer than the final margin. Michael Hall led the Mustangs with 10 points.
