South Effingham changes playoff series starting time

GUYTON -- Because of the  looming threat of Hurricane Michael, the starting time for Wednesday's first-round Class AAAAAA softball series between South Effingham and Griffin have been changed.

Instead of 4 p.m., the best-of-three set will start at noon. The second contest is slated for a 2 p.m. start.

Rising senior Jayden Hair scored three touchdowns and flashed elite speed during South Effingham’s first summer football scrimmages. With a strong track background and growing leadership role, Hair is emerging as a key two-way contributor as the Mustangs look to rebound from a winless 2024 season.
