South Effingham Angels U14 team won the girls ASA fastpitch softball “Battle of the Bats” tournament on Nov. 1 at the Sand Hill Ballpark.

Most of the players are from Effingham County, with three from Bryan County, one from Beaufort, S.C., and one from Bulloch County. The Angels went 6-0 in winning the tournament.

The Angels are: front row, left to right, Suzanne Stone and Haley McEwen; middle row, Sierra Cornell, Tabitha Jarriel, Nicole Brock, Kendal Winge, Tiffany Massey and Jade Scarboro; and back row, Ashton Collins, Taylor Collins, Tiffany Howard, Shelby Stephens, Ariel Promislow, McKensie Covington and Josie Beebe.
