The Effingham County Middle School team is off to a 2-1 start at home.

The Panthers, under head coach Jason Napier, defeated the William James Knights 22-20 and the Ebenezer Eagles 36-14.  The SEB Blue Jackets downed the Panthers 22-14.

The ECMS homecoming game will be Oct. 1 against Screven County. The Panthers have a strong group of eighth graders and some developing seventh graders who play well together as a team.

The JV Panthers fell to South Effingham and Screven County.
