Effingham County Recreation and Parks is taking youth baseball and softball signups through Feb. 4. The office will be open late today, Jan. 29, Feb. 2 and Feb. 4. Eligibility ages are 5-17 for boys and 5-15 for girls. Boys must be 5 before May 1 and cannot turn 18 before May 1. Girls must have turned 5 before Jan. 1 and cannot be 16 before that date.

Registration for co-ed T-ball instructional league will run through Feb. 13. The ECRP office will be open late today, Jan. 29, Feb. 2 and Feb. 4. Eligible ages are 3 1/2-4. Boys cannot turn 5 before May 1 and girls cannot be 5 years old.

Start Smart registration will be held through Feb. 14. Eligible ages are 2 1/2-3 and participants must have turned 2 1/2 by Jan. 1. The ECRP will be open late today, Jan. 29, Feb. 2 and Feb. 4 for signups.

Registration for youth open leagues will be held through Feb. 4. Eligible ages for baseball are 8-14 and 9-14 for softball.

Signups for adult open, church and co-ed softball leagues will be held through Feb. 27. Each team must hit their own balls and a $100 deposit is due by Feb. 27. The leagues will start in April.
