The Southern Star Softball Showcase will be held in Savannah this weekend, playing at the Paulson Softball Complex on Skidaway Drive today, Saturday and Sunday.  Thirty-six girls fast pitch softball teams from Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina will be playing.

The teams will be playing in front of college softball coaches from the Savannah area and across the Southeast.

Local travel softball teams playing in the event include the Angels GOLD and 16u A teams, the Savannah Indians, the East Georgia Thunder, the Georgia Thunder and the Beaufort Badkatz.
