South Effingham Middle earns spot in softball finals

The South Effingham Middle School Mustangs earned a spot in the middle school region softball finals after a 9-5 win over William James Middle School last Friday.

Cate Anderson was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Katie Kussow and Hannah Schurman each went 2-for-3, and Mariah Freeman and Amy Jameson each went 2-for-4. Mallory Ferguson had one RBI, Alexis Studier scored two runs and Anderson and Kussow each scored twice. Freeman, Jameson and Kaity White each scored a run.
