The student-voted Effingham County High School Teacher of the Month for January is Katie Ward. 

Ward is the faculty sponsor for the competition cheerleading, literary and drama teams and she teaches Freshman Academy English and 11th grade American Literature and Advanced Placement Language and Composition.

Students recognized her for her caring nature and willingness to help students succeed in their studies.
