GBI Arrests Suspect in Paige Lewis Easter Shooting Death

Paige LeAnn Lewis, a Springfield law firm receptionist and mother of a 13-year-old son, was found shot and killed in her Bloomingdale home on Easter Sunday.

BLOOMINGDALE, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested and charged a Burke County man in connection with the Easter Sunday shooting death of a Springfield law firm receptionist and mother of a 13-year-old boy.

Robert Allen Johnson, 41, of Midville, has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence in the death of Paige LeAnn Lewis, according to the GBI. Johnson turned himself in to the Bloomingdale Police Department and was booked into the Chatham County Jail.

Lewis, 39, worked as a receptionist at The Ratchford Law Firm in Springfield. She was found shot inside her home in the 300 block of Cypress Street after police responded to a 911 call at about 12:50 a.m. April 5. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lewis, a Savannah native, is being remembered by family and coworkers as a devoted mother and a warm, positive presence in her workplace.

According to her obituary, she is survived by her son, Calvin “Eli” Frazier; her parents, Stacey McCorkle (Daryl) and Geary Lewis; her brother, Christopher Lewis (Sarah); and other extended family members.
