FBLA goes to Motivational Rally

On Oct. 14, 14 members and two advisors from South Effingham High School Future Business Leaders of America  attended the Motivational Rally and State Fair in Perry.

The students listened to a motivational speaker that encouraged communication, goal setting and success.

Students competed in various events including personal finance, network design, FBLA principles and procedures, business communication, computer applications, business law, business procedures, business calculations and marketing.  

Additionally, students had to design a T-shirt that was submitted at the Rally for competition. FBLA members finished their day enjoying the rides, weather and food that the fair had to offer.

After more than 40 years with Effingham County Schools, CeCe Nixon is retiring, leaving behind a quiet legacy of excellence, compassion and steady leadership. From her beginnings as a kindergarten paraprofessional to her vital role in the district’s testing office, Nixon has impacted generations of students and educators with her work ethic, professionalism and heart.
