Christian Mincey was named the top designer and Ayla Herbert was named the top model at the 10th annual South Effingham High School student fashion show Saturday night.

Mincey won two categories, Bering Sea Inspirations: Arctic Blast and Caribbean Sea Inspirations: Calypso Vibe, and runner-up in the third. Alyssa Davis won for her design in Mediterranean Sea Inspirations: Venus Emerging.

Mincey also was the winner of the audience choice award.

Sierra Redd was runner-up in Arctic Blast and Kandice Morris was runner-up in Calypso Vibe. Zakiyya Jackson was runner-up in the model category.

The director’s award went to Elizabeth Holton.

Proceeds from the event support the Cathy Leaf Scholarship program, the cost of advanced placement exams and the annual show production.
