Support of Jordan Jackson appreciated
Dear Editor,
My friend and cousin Jordan Jackson has been diagnosed with Leukemia. I want to thank everyone who has supported him and donated to the cause. There was a fundraiser a few weekends ago at Scott Stell Park. Thanks to Crystal Dasher, who put the whole event together. Many people came to the park, along with Jordan himself.

There were also a lot of people who came to visit him in the hospital. I would like to thank the supporters who are here for him throughout this time. Although he has cancer, he is strong and goes on with his life like he is perfectly fine. Jordan has many friends and family who want him to get cured, so I am asking everyone to please, keep him in your prayers. We are here for you and love you Jordan!

Sincerely,

Former teachers helped prepare for future
Dear Editor,
My fifth grade teachers Mrs. Calhoun and Mrs. Beavers were my favorite teachers in elementary school. I would like to thank them for what I know now in middle school. They both made my last year at Sand Hill a good one.

From when I entered the class at open house to when I went to middle school I had a great time. I liked hearing Mrs. Beavers talk about history and Mrs. Calhoun always kept us in line.  Everything you told me about middle school is true. I was lucky to have you as my teachers.

Sincerely,

Thank you to our troops
Dear Editor,
I want to thank our branches of the military for serving our country. I hope that I’m not the only young adult in Guyton to thank and support the troops for helping to keep this land free. These people are out there to help others in this country and to protect attacks against the United States of America. They have to be brave to go into war. These troops are risking their lives for our country.

I’m proud to be an American. I am proud to live a free life. I am proud that people care for others beside themselves. It’s all thanks to them, the troops, and what they have done for this country. They aren’t just troops, but also ordinary people of the U.S. They have done lots for this country. So citizens of Georgia, please pray for these people and their families. Thank you for supporting our troops.

Sincerely,

Give mom a special thanks for all she does
Dear Editor,
I would like to say a thank you to all mothers. They are very important in life. Your mother is the person who puts band-aids on your cuts and gets you wherever you need to go.  All we hear in the news today is mothers selling drugs and beating their kids. Well, what about 95 percent of other moms who do the right thing?  How about the moms who pay for you to go places, get you to your soccer games, and take you and some friends to the movies?

I mean, come on. How about a little praise and support to the wonderful moms in the world? Thank you mothers!!! Today you need to give your mother a big hug. Make them breakfast. Just do something with your mother.

Sincerely,
