The Effingham County branch NAACP is hosting a Health Walk on Saturday, May 13, at Baker Lake, 224 Courthouse Rd., Springfield, sponsored by the branch's Health Committee.

The Health Walk is from 8 am to noon. Water and healthy snacks will be provided to participants.

“Our purpose is to encourage moderate low-impact exercise to help promote healthy living choices that are family friendly and fun,” said event organizer Sebrena Holmes-Gibson.
