The annual Effingham County American Cancer Society memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Effingham County Board of Education auditorium, 405 N. Ash St. in Springfield. 

The public is invited to attend.

Eight new plaques will be dedicated for display on the Memorial Board in Effingham Hospital. Plaques come from donations as memorial or honor gifts.

The following people will be remembered during the service: Delbert J. Duff, Roger Hamilton, Charles W. Hodges, Mary Grace B. Kennedy, Shirlene Y. Owens, Raymond Smith, H. Victor Weston and Steve C. Zettler.
