Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin is alerting consumers to the Unilever United States, Inc., recall of a limited number of tubs of Breyers Ice Cream because it was mispackaged and may contain wheat.

The tubs contain Breyers All Natural Cookies & Cream ice cream, but the package describes Breyers All Natural Mint Chocolate Chip” ice cream.  The lid does describe the product as Breyers All Natural Cookies & Cream ice cream, but the tub ingredient statement does not declare wheat which is an ingredient of the “Cookies & Cream” product.

The company urged consumers who had purchased the mislabeled tubs to discard them immediately and call 1-877-270-7402 for a refund.
