AASU to host Erica Dawson

SAVANNAH — The Poetry Society of Georgia 2008-2009 reading series continues with Erica Dawson on Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m., at the historic Ola Wyeth Branch Library, 4 E. Bay St. The event is free and open to the public.

Dawson’s collection, Big-Eyed Afraid is a 2006 winner of the Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize and was named 2007’s best debut by Contemporary Poetry magazine. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Blackbird, Harvard Review, Southwest Review and Best American Poetry 2008. Dawson currently makes her home in Cincinnati, Ohio.
