Georgia Southern Botanical Garden is offering the community a chance to escape the workday grind by participating in the Relax, Refresh and Renew garden workout walks.

The workout sessions, which incorporate calming yoga exercises, are held on Tuesdays, from noon-12:30 p.m., from now through March 18. No change of clothes is required, just wear comfortable walking shoes, and the sessions are free to the general public.

“What a great way to make good on that New Year’s resolution,” said Stephanie Tames, public relations coordinator for Georgia Southern Botanical Garden. “I know how hard it is to get in exercise during a hectic workday, that’s why we chose to make it more convenient by offering it during the lunch hour. You’re done in 30 minutes with time to spare for a bite to eat. You can’t beat that, she added.

You do not need to register. Just come to the Bland Cottage at the Garden, 1505 Bland Ave., a few minutes before noon on Tuesdays. For more information log onto www.georgiasouthern.edu or email us at garden@georgiasouthern.edu.
