In honor of Fathers Day on Saturday and Sunday, the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum is offering all fathers half off of admission rates.

The museum admission rates for fathers this weekend will be $5. On Fathers Day a special brunch will be offered in Chef Matt Cohen’s New South Pub.

It is the perfect time to come see the Museum’s newest addition a WWII era B-17 bomber. The airplane named, “City of Savannah” is on display in the museum’s combat gallery.

Museum guests can enjoy lunch at Chef Matt Cohen’s New South Pub. The pub is open daily from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. serving sandwiches, soups, salads and a hot Southern buffet.

Activated in 1942 in Savannah, the 8th Air Force was a critical strike element in World War II and remains an active force today.

The Mighty 8th Air Force Museum is one of the word’s most powerful Museum experiences as it honors the Mighty 8th’s proud legacy by preserving the stories of courage, character and patriotism displayed by the men and women of the 8th Air Force from World War II to present.

The museum is located at 175 Bourne Ave. in Pooler, right off of I-95 at Exit 102. The Mighty 8th Air Force Museum is open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. except on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
