Tickets available for first two shows of 2009-10 season

SAVANNAH — The first two shows of the Broadway in Savannah 2009-10 Season are going on sale! Tickets for c and Irving Berlin’s “I Love a Piano” will go on sale today at the Johnny Mercer Theatre box office, online at www.savannahcivic.com or charged by phone at (912) 651-6556.

Discounts are available for subscribers and groups of 20 or more by calling (912) 651-6557. Tickets for both shows start at $30. A special discount for “Cirque Dreams Illumination” is available for children under the age of 14.  

“Cirque Dreams Illumination” will perform one show only in Savannah on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. From the creators of the groundbreaking Broadway hit “Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy,” comes a new journey into a magical metropolis that ignites with imagination, suspense and innovation, turning everyday ordinary into bright and extraordinary.

Irving Berlin’s “I Love a Piano” is set to perform one show only at the Johnny Mercer Theatre on Oct. 8. “I Love a Piano” spans seven decades of American history seen through the eyes of Irving Berlin.

Using 64 of Berlin’s favorites, “I Love a Piano” captures the spirit of America from Ragtime rhythms through two World Wars into the optimism of the ’50s.

Timeless classics, such as “White Christmas,” “Puttin’ On The Ritz,” and “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” do more than define the music of a generation, they define the music of our country.

Subscriptions to the Broadway in Savannah 2009-10 season are also on sale. Subscriber benefits include guaranteed same great seats to all season shows, as well as the chance to renew those seats from year to year. Subscribers also receive additional ticket discounts and the chance to purchase tickets to added shows before the general public.

Tickets are received by mail to avoid box office lines and lost ticket insurance is included at no charge.
