John Sylvester Gnann (b. 1860 d. 1936) married in 1886 Ella Gertrude Weitman (b.1868 d. 1945).

Of this union the following children were born: Eva Belle Gnann (b. 1887 d. 1915); Gertrude Elizabeth G. (b. 1890 d. 1941) in 1909 married Ralph Harold Wilson (b. 1882 d. 1942); George Elbert Gnann (b. 1891 d.1961) married in 1916 Mary Coreen Zipperer; Eugene Sylvester Gnann (b. 1892 d. 1981) in 1916 married first Gertrude Morgan (b. 1892 d. 1916), second Alma Rentz (b. 1904 d. 1989); Bessie Louise G. (b. 1894 d. 1993) in 1914 married Ellis Russell Burns (b. 1893 d. 1971); Eddie Martin Gnann (b. 1896 d. 1897); Marie Vivian G. (b. 1899 d. 1993) in 1916 married William Jacob “Willie” Bragg (b. 1894 d. 1990); and Mildred Gnann (b. 1907 d. 1982) in 1922 married Bertie Wardlaw Arnsdorff(b. 1903 d. 1967).

Gertrude Gnann Wilson was known as Gertie. She married Ralph Harold Wilson and they had five children: Grace Wilson b. 1910 d.2001 (married Artis Derry Rahn); Mary Gertrude Wilson b. 1913 d. 1974 (married Harris Bernard Rahn); Eva Christine Wilson b.1907 d. 1941 (married Marion Nicholas Exley); John Marion Wilson b. 1918 d. 1953 (married Rebecca Jane Exley) and Edward Harold Wilson b.1920 d. 2000 (married Kathryn Bargeron).
