LONDON — Our favorite night guard is back in action for “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.” Check out the trailer for the third chapter in the exciting series.

The adventure began in 2006 with the original “Night at the Museum” and continued with the disappointing 2009 sequel, “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.” Hopefully “Secret of the Tomb” can revive the franchise for everyone who loved the first one.

The "threequel" appears to be packed with even more silly adventures as Larry, played by Ben Stiller, travels to London to keep the magic that brings the museum to life from disappearing for good.

The whole historical gang returns, and there are even some new additions. Rebel Wilson makes an appearance that’s guaranteed to tickle your funny bone, and “Downton Abbey’s” Dan Stevens portrays the legendary Sir Lancelot. Even the award-winning Ben Kingsley lends his talents to the family friendly comedy.

“Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” is scheduled for a holiday release date of Dec. 19, 2014.
