STOP-AND-GO-VILLE It takes a special drive and fortitude in a person to not only make stop-motion videos, but to make excellent stop-motion videos.

Tim Burton comes to mind with movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride. Theres also the different creative minds behind shows like Wallace and Gromit, ParaNorman, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Im sure much more that I cant remember or dont even know about. (Im happy to hear about them in the comments, though.)

Then theres the creative genius director who is only known as PES who has made a name for himself making creative and clever stop-motion videos. You may have seen his video Submarine Sandwich right here on ksl.com or his Academy Award-nominated short Fresh Guacamole. Both are full of delightful surprises and are solid examples of how PES' clever mind works.

PES latest post comes in the form of a commercial for Honda, which touches on the highlights of Hondas history. The unique aspect of this project is the sort of spread out flip-book style. This means each little aspect in the video is something that you could make a flip book, but it spreads out in flips instead of flipping in a static place. (Maybe you just have to watch it to get it, but I did my best.)

The video description says the video is the result of dozens of animators and illustrators, thousands of original drawings and four months of work, and that everything was done by hand.
