PHALANGEVILLE A British puppeteer created a proof-of-concept puppet that truly has taken on a life of its own.

Barnaby Dixon spent two months making his intricate finger puppet. He may have started out wanting to make something simple, but instead he ended up with a detailed and nuanced creation.

The puppet is so intricate that it even has mouth movement and a functioning hand that can pick up and throw small items with ease. But that's not the best part about it.

As Dixon works the puppet, the movement looks more and more human-like. The movements are smooth and truly mesmerizing because of the choices Dixon made in how he moves the puppet, which he starts to explain and demonstrate at about the 1:25 mark. In the video, he explains that the more he can influence gravity, the more he can get really good effects.

Look, I could try and explain it more, but if you see the puppet in action, I virtually guarantee you will see something that will impress you.
