THE SET If you can dream it, theres probably already a Guinness world record for it; but that doesnt mean you cant smash that record to bits with a little (or a lot) of free time.

Somehow it seems that so many people who set out to break world records based on some physical activity are high school boys. Maybe they like to show off, maybe theyre bored, maybe its the hormones, or maybe this is a completely unfair anecdotal observation made by one writer.

Whatever the reason, the man that currently holds the world record for fastest clapper started working on his fast-clap goal when he was in high school. Eli Bishop is that man, and his record is 1,020 claps in one minute. Thats 17 claps per second.

In this video, The Slo Mo Guys check out Bishops technique and slow it down for us. I fully admit that it sounds boring in writing, but I testify that the video is a fascinating and entertaining experience. And it gets even more entertaining when The Slo Mo Guys try to fast clap too.

Lets just say that one of them definitely looks like hes afraid of his own hands, and its even unclear if he even has control over his fingers. Indeed, his fingers may be flailing to this day.

Before you ask, yes, I tried the technique, and I bet you will too. In fact, I recommend that you gather the family together and each have a go for an entertaining and bonding experience.

Ready! Set! Fast clap!
