After becoming the first soccer player to score three goals in the Women's World Cup final, Team USA midfielder Carli Lloyd appeared on "Good Morning America" Monday to discuss her goals and how it felt to achieve her dream.

The United States defeated Japan on Sunday in a 5-2 win. Lloyd scored her three goals in the first 16 minutes of the game.

Lloyd said she visualized making four goals in the final game and said the mind plays a role in making dreams happen. She credited the big win to her teammates and coaches.

"Our team is super proud," Lloyd said during the interview. "It took all 23 players to get this done. From the coaching staff to the players to our support staff, we all believed in one thing: We believed in making it to the final, winning the final. We stayed true to everything we believed in."

The win makes Team USA the only women's team in history to take three World Cup titles.
