Kidney Foundation asks to 'share your spare'

This holiday season, as you consider giving gifts that show you care, you don’t have to worry about wearing your heart on your sleeve.

You can wear it right on your chest.

The National Kidney Foundation of Georgia has teamed up with basketball all-star Alonzo Mourning and his wife Tracy and created a T-shirt that reminds you and your loved ones that the greatest gift you can give is the gift of life.

To raise awareness about the life-saving power of organ donation, the kidney foundation and the Mournings suggest that you can give and wear their new “Share Your Spare” T-shirt.  The shirt was designed by Tracy Wilson Mourning to celebrate husband “Zo’s” return to a healthy life after his victory over kidney disease. Now, this exclusive apparel will help in the national effort to keep the public informed about both organ donation and the early detection of chronic kidney disease.

The $20 T-shirt sports the slogan “Share Your Spare,” and is being sold through Tracy’s Honey Child Clothing Collection. All proceeds will benefit both the National Kidney Foundation and Zo’s Fund for Life.

The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to the prevention of kidney and urinary tract disease, improving the health and well-being of patients and families affected by these diseases and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation.
