The Coastal Georgia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure will host Komen On the Go at Grayson Stadium in Savannah on June 17 and on June 19 in Brunswick in the Wal-Mart parking lot. This stop along the 36-week, 144-stop nation-wide tour aims to drive all generations of Coastal Georgians toward a better awareness of breast health and breast cancer and a deeper commitment to practice healthy habits that can reduce their risk for the disease.

The Komen On the Go pink trailer converts into an interactive learning center. This fun, hands-on experience features computer kiosks, breast cancer educational materials, breast self-examination guides, information on how to volunteer locally, registration cards for the Komen Race for the Cure, tips on supporting loved ones facing breast cancer and an eight-foot “graffiti wall” to share a memory or pledge their personal support in the global breast cancer movement.

The pink trailer will be at Grayson Stadium from 2-5 p.m. on the 17th and in Brunswick from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Local breast cancer survivors and health care professionals will be on hand to share their experiences and knowledge.
