The Georgia Salzburger Society will celebrate its 280th Landing Day on Saturday at Jerusalem Lutheran Church.

Archaeologist Dan Elliott will present “Ebenezer and the Lost Salzburgers, or Whatever Happened to Rev. Triebner After the War, Anyway?” during the Landing Day meeting at 2 p.m.

The Saturday closest to March 12 is selected as Landing Day, to mark the March 12, 1734, arrival of the first Salzburgers in Georgia.

Consul General Christoph Sanders of Germany will be one of the guests for Landing Day.
