At Camp K.T. Wallace in Guyton, Cub Scout Packs 295 and 141 held a joint summer day camp, which included exploring a fire truck and a visit from the Camp Davis Sons of Confederate Veterans.
The SCV re-enactors taught the scouts about the roughneck life of a Civil War soldier and showed spectators the intricacies of loading and firing period artillery. They concluded by firing two small cannons. When the boys were asked if there were any questions, one enthusiastic scout said, “Do it again.”
