When Guyton Elementary School counselor Kristin Calvert came to the Effingham Sunrise Rotary meeting Tuesday to talk about the Bookbag Ministry, which provides food to needy kids, little did she know the Rotary Club had something for her. Sunrise members presented Calvert with their Service Above Self award, surprising Calvert with her husband John and her pastor, Rev. Liam Collins, of St. Luke’s Episcopal.
