Tybee preps for annual Labor Day Beach Bash

TYBEE ISLAND— Enjoy the ocean breezes, live music and fireworks from the majestic Tybee Pier & Pavilion at the 3rd Annual Tybee Island Labor Day Beach Bash on Sept. 5 from 7-10 p.m.
 
Free live entertainment starts at 7 p.m. with Gary Roland and The Landsharks Band! The Landsharks have performed with Jimmy Buffett and opened for several major artists, including The Beach Boys, Patti Labelle, Three Dog Night and Inner Circle. 
 
After performing with them Jimmy Buffett proclaimed that “The Landsharks are showmen, they’re fun. They’re a fun band” and also said “Funny thing was, The Landsharks knew the songs better than I did. And I love some of their arrangements.”  
 
Spectacular fireworks under the stars start at 9:15 p.m. or at dark followed by more music until 10 p.m.. Most nearby bars and restaurants will be open throughout the event to purchase food and refreshments.
 
The 3rd Annual Tybee Island Labor Day Beach Bash is sponsored by the Tybee Island Tourism Council, TybeeFest and Southern Eagle Distributors.
 
The Savannah Craft Brew Fest: Craft Brew and Food Pairing Dinner will be held Sept. 3. Enjoy the tastes of the Lowcountry while sampling craft brews that have been chosen to enhance the flavor. 
 
This event will feature live entertainment, the best of Southern cuisine and craft brews from Highland Brewing Company.
 
The event will be held at The Esplanade of the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50.
 
The Savannah Craft Brew Fest: Craft Brew Grand Tasting will be held Sept. 4 from noon-6 p.m. at The Esplanade of the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
 
Overlooking the Savannah River and beautiful Historic Savannah, this outdoor event will feature more than 130 different craft brews, live entertainment, delicious food offerings and souvenirs items for sale.
 
Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.
