Special to the Effingham Herald

The Mars Theatre presents “Completely Unchained”, a tribute to Van Halen, live on stage on Saturday, May 6.

“Completely Unchained” is the only complete Van Halen tribute to perform the entire catalog: All the lights, the sound, the magic, and most of all the spirit that captures every era of Van Halen. The program contains all classic hits, Sammy Hagar Years, and David Lee Roth’s greatest solo hits. From the original band days through the Roth Era and Hagar’s tenure, fans will hear 1978’s “Runnin’ with the Devil,” 1984’s “Panama” and 1986’s “Why Can’t this Be Love.” Of course, the tribute band also plays its namesake hit, “Unchained,” from Van Halen’s first self-titled album.

“Completely Unchained” are four creative musicians who re-create the ultimate Van Halen production – the attitude, sounds, excitement, energy, and most of all the fun that Van Halen produced -- as one of the best rock bands in the world.

This program is supported in part by Georgia Presenters and The Fox Theatre Institute.

Tickets can be purchased online at, in person at the theatre, or at Springfield City Hall during normal business hours, or by calling 912-754-7617. Beer and wine are available at all live shows with valid ID.
