YMCA taking fall childcare applications

Applications are currently being accepted for before and after school programs, pre-school childcare, and pre-kindergarten at area YMCA branches.
 
During the school year, the YMCA of Coastal Georgia serves over 6,000 children each day in Chatham, Liberty, Bryan and Effingham counties through their Pryme Tyme and Fun Club programs. 
 
Pryme Tyme is a licensed before and after school program offered at every elementary school in Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties.  
 
Fun Club is a licensed after school program which picks up students at participating elementary schools and buses them to the nearby YMCA branch where they are offered an afternoon snack, homework help, structured activities, and seasonal sports such as soccer and swimming. All instructors who work with the YMCA of Coastal Georgia are certified in CPR and first aid.
 
The YMCA Pre-K program, offered at the Habersham, Effingham and West Chatham branches offers, weekly Spanish classes in their curriculum plan and each classroom has a state certified lead teacher, in addition to a certified para-professional. 
 
The new Welcoming Hispanic Families Initiative with Hispanic Outreach Director Audrey Rodriguez-Moscosa provides access to low-income families by offering affordable tuition rates for Hispanic/Latino families in the Coastal Empire. Rodriguez-Moscosa can be reached at (912) 354-5480.
