Rincon attorney Ramona Murphy Bartos of the Bartos Law Firm, LLC, has recently returned from a speaking engagement with the Center for Community Design and Preservation at the University of Georgia, and the Georgia Alliance of Preservation Commissions for their fall 2007 Historic Preservation Commission Training held in Elberton from Oct. 26-27.

Bartos spoke on legal issues, including constitutional matters and the Georgia Open Meetings Act that often faces historic preservation commissions.

Bartos is the city attorney for Guyton and one of less than a dozen graduates of the joint Master of Historic Preservation and Juris Doctor program at the University of Georgia.
