Board of education votes on make-up day

During its meeting Thursday night, the Effingham County Board of Education voted to not  add a make-up day for Monday's holiday for the solar eclipse.

The board voted last month to close school Monday due to safety concerns. The highly anticipated total eclipse will occur during the time schools let out and is expected to create traffic problems.
