VNS Corporation honored the Pro Sales Force for Choo Choo Build-It Mart and Wholesale Building Products at its 20th Annual Pro Sales Banquet on April 17 in Vidalia.
The Pro Sales teams are recognized annually for their contributions to the company, which employs 29 Pro Sales Force members who generated 80 percent of the company’s total sales last fiscal year.
Hugh Peterson Jr., chairman of the board and CEO, recognized the following operations for setting new sales records in fiscal year ending in March: Choo Choo Installed Sales Division, Lake Oconee Installed Sales Division, TrussMart Building Components, LLC, and Charlie’s in East Dublin.
Philip Flanders, director of sales, presented Choo Choo Build-It Mart and Wholesale Building Products Pro Sales membership awards to qualifying individuals. To qualify as a Choo Choo Build-It Mart Pro Sales Force member, a salesperson must sell at least $2.25 million annually and a Wholesale Building Products Pro Sales Force member must sell over $4 million annually.
Peterson presented Andy Lindsey of Choo Choo Build-It Mart, Lake Oconee, with the Superstar Sales Award. Each year this award is presented to the Choo Choo salesperson who makes the highest contribution to the company.
Lindsey has been with the company 16 years, and during this time, he has consistently been a top salesperson. He leads the company in receiving the Superstar award. This is the eighth time since 1999 Lindsey has received either the Superstar or the first runner-up award.
Gary Campbell, president and COO, presented the Choo Choo Build-It Mart First Runner-up Award to Shawn Wiggins of Lake Oconee for the second-highest contribution to the company from a Choo Choo salesperson. Wiggins joined the Pro Sales Force in 2006.
Flanders presented the Second Runner-Up Award to Ryan O’Neal of the Dublin store. O’Neal received awards in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2008. Flanders noted, “If I was going to build a home in the Dublin market, I would want Ryan as my salesperson.”
Awards were also presented to salespeople in the Wholesale Building Products division of VNS Corporation.
Ronald “Ron” Johns was presented the Wholesale Building Products Superstar Award by Peterson. Johns has been with the company for 37 years and been a WBP Pro Sales member for the past 19 years. Johns has received this prestigious award every year since 1998.
Larry Canady accepted the Wholesale Building Products Superstar Runner-up Award from Gary Campbell. Canady was recognized for his accomplishments and the professional relationship he maintains with his customers.

Bestline Sash and Door, located in Ailey, is one of the largest manufacturers of door units for residential and light commercial construction in the Southeast.
Charlie’s Surplus Building Materials is a cash and carry store located in East Dublin, specializing in cabinets, counter tops, flooring and other first grade materials and some surplus products.
TrussMart Building Components, LLC, located in Glennville, is a custom manufacturer of roof and floor trusses for the building industry.
