Rincon attorney Ramona Murphy Bartos recently gave a lecture at Masaryk University School of Law in Brno, Czech Republic, to Czech law students and judicial officials.
She spoke on the practice of law in the U.S., including the challenges and advantages of being a female attorney and solo practitioner. Her lecture was followed by a lively question and answer period.
“I was quite struck by the interest expressed by the students in pursuing a career as a solo practitioner. I emphasized to them the freedom it has afforded me in my own practice to place client service as my highest priority.
“They were quite amazed that I often travel to client homes and businesses in my effort to make my services both affordable and convenient. They had never heard of ‘house calls’ in our profession.”
Based in Rincon, the Bartos Law Firm, LLC (www.bartoslawfirm.com), is the first female-only owned law firm in Effingham County.
