Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle will be in town this Thursday, first at the grand opening of the new Effingham Career Academy from 2-4 p.m. and then from 5-6 p.m. at the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce offices on Highway 21 in Springfield. Both events are free and open to the public.

Cagle will be on hand for the open house and dedication ceremony for the Career Academy, located adjacent to the Effingham campus of Savannah Technical College on Highway 21.

“During these tough economic times, it is more important than ever before to give our students the promise of a path to successful careers and these career academies do just that,” Cagle said of the new facility.

Lt. Gov. Cagle will then pay a visit to the Effingham Chamber’s offices where the public is also invited to visit with him and enjoy some light refreshments.
