Candidate forum set in Port Wentworth

The Port Wentworth Chamber of Commerce is set to host a candidate forum Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, 7210 GA Hwy. 21, Port Wentworth.

Doors will open to the public at 6 p.m.

All candidates running in the 2017 Port Wentworth municipal election have confirmed their participation.

The Port Wentworth City Council candidates include: at-large: Rufus Bright Jr., Maurice Rahn, Linda Smith; District 1: Sharilyn Dyal, Barbara Powers (incumbent); District 3: Lynwood Griner, Debbie Johnson (incumbent); Mayor: Tim Holbrook, Gary Norton.
