Carter endorses McCain

ATLANTA — State Rep. Buddy Carter (R-Pooler) announced Friday that his supporting Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for the Republican nomination for President.

“I am proud to offer my support to Senator McCain, a true American hero who is without question the most qualified candidate of either party to lead our nation for the next four years,” Carter said in announcing his endorsement.

“Senator McCain is solid and sincere and unwavering in his beliefs. While serving in the Senate, he has proven that he can work to forge alliances and get things done. Our country needs this type of leadership now more than ever,” Carter added.

Carter also said that he feels McCain offers the Republican Party its best chance of winning in November.

“Our party must unify behind a single candidate and Senator McCain gives us our best opportunity to keep the White House in Republican control.”
